The greatest invention ever...

Mom fills it up with treats, bits of cheese or peanut butter. I throw it around to get the treats. When I finish eating all of it, I bring it to my mom for refill. I just love my new toy!

I turned two years old today!

It's my 2nd barkday today and I celebrated it with cake and pressies. Of course, my BFF Myra was there to celebrate it with me.
My hooman family feasted on food and a delicious cake, which I initially thought was for me. But, it was chocolate (their favorite) so I can't have any. Mom bought my favorite sugarless bun, an idea she got from Sweepy's Keeper. She doesn't know how to make those yummy dog cakes that my furry friends have been blogging about so the bun was a very convenient alternative.
I shared my cake with my BFF and she found it irresistable. So irresistable that when i turned my head for a second, she gobbled it all up! I opened my huge present and it was full of different wonderful things that I love. It was a very fun day and I am one lucky dog.

My furry friend

I think it's wonderful that I have friends I could play with. Myra is one of my oldest friends and I love spending time with her.
We are very different, both in appearance and personality. I am bigger than her, my ears are larger and I have brown nose and eyes. Myra's ears are upright. Her nose and eyes are both black.
(Charlie)
(Myra)
Myra is friendly and sweet, I am naughty and rowdy. Myra would greet anyone, while I am more wary of strangers and would cock my head until I figure that the person is worth knowing. I would come when I am called, Myra would opt to ignore her dad. I like to play with water while Myra is afraid of it.

I met her when I was barely 3 months old. We clicked instantly and have been friends since. We loved wrestling and playing bitey face then.

( I am the one with the yellow collar)

Almost two years later, we still love playing the same games.
We share toys and treats. We really enjoy each other's company.

(See the size difference?)

It's a good thing she lives right next door, I could always visit her if I want to play. I would just give my mom a really good stare to convey the message. Sometimes, Myra would come by and visit me. Sometimes, mom and I would take her along as we walk around the nieghborhood. Of course, we get a fair amount of attention, as people would always stop by and admire our furry white coats. But, we're used to it.

We get into all kinds of mischiefs when were together but we don't really mind getting scolded because we always have a grand time. Often, we would get into trouble because we would play tag team and chase the cats away. It's so fun! It's great to have a friend!

Tricked!

Why do I always have to work for my treat? Why mom?
Other dogs just have to look cute and they get rewarded.
But, I have to.....perform! The injustice!

My mother would always ask that I do a Long Stay
with a tempting treat in front of my nose.
She says its a test of character.
Yeah, whatever!

She told me that the treat will be placed on my paw

And I would have to resist

At first, I thought this was easy but after a short while,
my determination was starting to crumble.

The tasty biscuit was within my reach, I could just grab it.
I'll be very fast and she won't be able to catch me.

No!!! I must not grab the treat......

A few seconds later my mind was screaming

"This is torture!!!"

Somebody please call animal welfare.
This crazy woman should be apprehended.

Just a few more seconds, I tell myself, and...
Yes!! Victory!
Ahh...the well-earned treat tasted so good.
Now what?
I have to do it on both paws??! You must be kidding.
